This week we continue to reflect shapes across the x- and y-axes. We end the week exploring absolute value. We will review on 12/15 and test on 12/16. MONDAY - 12/8 - Pass out REFLECTION visual card for binders. Complete foldable 6.NS.6b reflecting #s across both axes with teacher. HOMEWORK: Reflection foldable (due WEDNESDAY)
TUESDAY - 12/9 - 4-H today. The following students volunteered to present their project: Christopher Christina Chloe Michaela T. Our community project includes: **collecting Kool-Aid packets and Ramen Noodles - these will be donated back to students in need throughout the county! Each item collected will count as one Club of the Month point AND will earn one positive Dojo point for Community Service! See attached for really great information involving: **computer give-away (I had several students win this a few years ago!) **4-H shirts for sale **brownie/cookie contest
Wednesday - 12/10 - Complete graphs with teacher writing inequality statements illustrating the distance between points. HOMEWORK - 2 pg solving problems with a grid
Thursday - 12/11 - Vocabulary: absolute value, magnitude, absolute value symbol. Introduce vocabulary through PPT – Intro to Absolute Value. (8 slides) Work through problems on PPT together. HOMEWORK - Absolute Value practice sheet
Friday - 12/12 - Complete Absolute Value PPT slides 73 – 76. Work through PPT slides 77 – to end practicing with absolute value in real life. (temperatures, debt, sea level). Students will take a QUIZ on absolute value today.
