Do you want to have a voice in the upcoming School Board Election on April 27th?
Of course you do!
To accomplish both of these goals you must join Brighten Academy PTO.
The membership deadline for the 2014/2015 school year is March 1st.
Only registered PTO members may participate in the Board Elections.
(If you aren't sure if you have already joined just email Jerrie_waits@bellsouth.net and I will confirm. )
Joining is easy, just complete the membership form (attached below) and return it with your $5.00 membership fee (checks should be made out to BACS PTO) in an envelope marked PTO Membership prior to March 1st. Remember membership is open to all adult family members (mom, dad, grandparents) just complete a form with an individual email address for each member and include $5.00 per membership.

Vice - President of Elementary
As many of you know, our second through eighth grade students have an opportunity to receive a special character award by completing the 7C deck and demonstrating great character throughout the year.
The first part of the 7C deck was due today (2.2.15). We realize we did not send out reminders of the due date to help make sure our students met this important deadline. We will extend the deadline to submit 5 activities to February 17th.
Please contact your child's teacher if you need a new copy of the deck.
Our yearbook committee is working hard on our yearbook. If you would like to submit pictures to be considered we have added the directions below. We have also attached the order form if you still need to buy your year book! Time is running out, order today!
There are 2 ways they can share photos to be considered for yearbook:
1. Parents can share from their cell phone using the Herff Jones eShare free app; school code 10412.
2. Or parents can email them to BrightenYearbook2014@gmail.com
Beginning Monday, January 26, our ASP students will be picked up at the entrance by the media center.
This is the entrance on the "new building" where all the classrooms are located. It's near the flag pole.
This should expedite the pick up process since the students will not have to travel between the buildings.
