won an essay contest sponsored by the Metropolitan North Georgia Water District (MNGWD). The MNGWD sponsors the essay contest with a specific theme to help students become more conscious of their environment and the importance of water conservation. This year's topic was water conservation. A winner is chosen from each county of the 16 counties in the district. There were over 1100 entries. Jordan was the winner for Douglas County.
