This Thursday is the Freshman Expo night at all of the county high schools. This night is very important!! Students will be registering for their freshman classes. Students may also explore the school and meet some of the teachers. Two of the high schools have sent a copy of the registration card so that students can see what choices they have.

It’s that time again—Brighten Academy will give the Criterion Referenced Competency Tests for all 3rd-8th graders in April. We are in need of many volunteers to proctor for the tests. Please look at the dates and times below to see if you can help us by proctoring.
Each volunteer must attend ONE proctor training session, either Monday, March 31st at 5:00 p.m., OR Tuesday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m., OR Wednesday, April 2nd at 7:00 a.m. The training sessions will last approximately one hour. All volunteers will receive volunteer credit, so sign up now and help us out!

Friday, March 7: Brighten Academy Governing Board - Applications Being Accepted
Brighten Academy Charter School, 3264 Brookmont Parkway - Interested community members are encouraged to submit a resume and review the application and election details on the school web site by 6 p.m. March 7th. Elected Board members receive priority placement for their children in the Academy enrollment lottery. Brighten Academy is the 2014 Georgia Charter School of the Year.
