Please see the attached Bulletin. Today is certainly bittersweet. The staff and students will be saying goodbye to the school that has been our home for about nine years. We've created many great memories there. We are looking forward to new beginnings and honoring our past as we take this next step. Hope to see our faithful movers tomorrow!
Well, the weekend we have all been waiting for has arrived! It looks like the sun will finally be shining too!! We will move our K-5 classrooms to the Prestley Mill campus on Saturday, Jan. 17th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Brookmont. This move will probably continue into the early afternoon due to the number of items that will be moved. Here is what is on the agenda:
This is a double credit move, and you can send any able-bodied person to help for your credit. We are in need of one more Uhaul or moving truck. If you can provide this for us (reserve it, rent it, and drive it), please email Mrs. Arnold ASAP ([email protected]). One last note from the BA admin team: Thank you for making this move as smooth as possible. Your help and positive attitudes has made it a pleasurable experience. Mrs. McDonald and Mrs. Arnold are re-energized after each of these moves by our hard working, cheerful, and patient families that jump right in and have helped us MOVE THAT SCHOOL! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We look forward to seeing you Saturday for our last big move. :) We are on target with our "Move That School" project!
Tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 10th at 9:00 a.m., we will move boxes from the Brookmont location (classrooms and the media center), move boxes stored at the Prestley Mill locations to the new classrooms, and relocate our middle school teachers from their temporary classrooms to their brand new classrooms. We need volunteers at both campuses, but we will all end up at Prestley Mill. Just a couple of reminders--please no children--we are moving heavy boxes and some furniture. We know you and your families are eager to see our new building, and we are so appreciative of your help, but this will be a very busy, physical job. Thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow! Wednesday, December 17 will be a FULL DAY! Dismissal starts at 3:15. Students will go to their "B" specials that day.
Friday, December 19 will be a HALF DAY! Dismissal starts at 1:00. FYI - These may help you plan if your student plans on eating at ThunderZone on Friday, December 19th. If your student is ordering a school sack lunch, he/she will eat when we return from ThunderZone at 12:30. They do not allow outside food in the facility. We will dismiss at 1:00 that day.
Our very first home basketball game is today. Girls will play at 4:30 and the boys will play at 5:30. There is a $3.00 cost for the game. We will play Oak Mountain Academy from Carrollton.
