Regarding benchmark scores that will be coming home this week and next...
Parents and Students –
We wanted to give you some information about the benchmark exams that will be coming home this week or the next. These first exams are used to measure what a student may already know before it is taught to them. Much of the information on the exam has not been taught yet. We expect the students’ scores to be around 40%. As the year progresses and we administer more benchmarks, we expect that the student’s scores to rise accordingly. Please don’t be alarmed if your child’s score is below 50% that is what ‘s expected at the beginning of the year. As the students learn more, their score will rise. We strive to have the students as close to 100% as possible.
The percentages in relation to the CRCT are as follows: 0-59% - In danger of not meeting expectations 60-84% - Meeting expectations 85%-100% - Exceeding expectations If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Take care, Middle School Team
