papers inside. :-) Inside, please find a copy of their PROGRESS REPORT from the MAP Assessment, a copy of their GOAL SETTING SHEET from the MAP Assessment, and a cover letter from Mrs. McDonald. Because this is a new assessment, the 6th grade teachers will host a meeting to go over what these scores mean on Thursday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m.. We had planned on having the meeting in my room, BUT, if we get crowded, we may move to the cafe'. Hope to see you there! Sixth Grade Parent Meeting
Thursday, September 26 6:00-6:30 p.m. in Mrs. Beck’s Homeroom Purpose: To share information about the MAP assessments, clarify/explain your child’s reports and discuss ILPs (Individualized Learning Plans). You will have an opportunity to schedule an individual conference with individual teachers or the entire team at a later date. Is your 5th-8th grade child interested
in acting or technical theater? If yes, then you don't want to miss the beginning of Brighten's Drama Club! Drama Club will begin tomorrow, September 10th from 3:30-5:00. We're excited to partner with Ms. Deena Canup, who has over 15 years of experience teaching theater arts to elementary, middle and high school students. Ms. Canup has extensive experience both on stage and behind the scenes including acting, set design, stage makeup, sound and lighting, and much more. Students will learn about theater arts while building confidence and having fun as they begin work right away for a full production in December. If interested, please allow your child to stay for our first meeting tomorrow afternoon and send in the attached registration form along with your registration fee. The registration fee can be paid in installments. For more information, please contact Toni Aybar at [email protected]. You may also contact Ms. Canup at [email protected] or 678-437-0420.
